Little Otter Swim School’s John Kirk was one of the USSSA’s featured speakers at the organization’s recent national conference held in Scottsdale, Arizona (October 9-11). The conference celebrated the 25thanniversary of the Association and provide swim school owners with valuable information for operating and growing their swim schools.
John has been a member of the USSSA for more than a decade and is very active in its committees and in promoting its value among swim school owners. John and his wife and business partner, Lory, own Charlotte, NC –based Little Otter Swim School and are preparing to open their second school location late this year.
John’s featured session on Friday revealed to other owner’s some of the best practices that he has instituted at Little Otter for creating happiness with staff and customers. Because of these and other best practices, Little Otter Swim School will be recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in the Charlotte during a ceremony in Charlotte on November 15th.
The USSSA (United State Swim School Association) began as The National Swim School Association (NSSA) in 1988 to provide a trade association for those who operate swimming schools in the United States.
