As proud parents, you want to watch your children when at Little Otter Swim School. You want to see each week’s progress so you can celebrate extraordinary results with your children. Here are some things that can make lessons a little easier on you and make sure you don’t miss a single thing your children do!
1. Bring a bathing suit cover up.
Early arrival to class will be made easier and made more comfortable with the addition of bathing suit cover-ups for both you and your child. If you’re getting in the water with your little one, you may have a bathing suit on, but that doesn’t mean that bathing suit is comfortable while getting your children in and out of their suits!
2. Bring pajamas.
Sometimes the only time that syncs with schedules may be an evening one. Wouldn’t it be easier on everyone if – after the post-lesson shower – the little swimmers got directly into pajamas? Bring the pajamas along and there is little to do when arriving home besides tucking the little ones in.
3. Skip the socks.
Wrangling little feet, finding matching socks, getting them right side out, putting them on is just too much. Skip it. It won’t hurt for children to return home with no socks. Besides – many winter shoes are lined and during the summer, flip flops are the best swimming lesson footwear.
4. Helping in the shower.
Helping little ones shower is super easy if you are also coming from the pool. But if this isn’t the case, splashing in the shower may be the last thing that your shoes need. A lot of parents just slip their shoes off or bring flip flops to help in getting up close in helping the showering child.
5. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
It is not easy to haul little ones around AND be prepared for everything every time. Forgetting something isn’t a catastrophe because Little Otter has some of the most often “needed” items available for purchase – like swim diapers, bathing suits, goggles, earplugs, towels – and even more. The stocked items in the Pro Shop help us make every experience awesome.
