Traits of a Good Swim School

What are some of the things that you will notice about a good swim school?

1. Run well-organized classes with consistent schedules
2. Include skill time, play time, and information time in classes
3. Clear demonstration and explanation what they expect those in the class to do
4. A warm pool
5. Relatively small class sizes – perhaps no more than 6 parent-child pairs or an instructor to child ratio of 4 students
to 1 teacher that allows individual attention
6. A sense that your child will be comfortable taking swimming lessons on his own there when the time comes
7. How children are placed in levels of classes
8. How progress is tracked
9. Qualifications of instructors
10. How much time each child spend waiting for a turn with the instructor
11. A positive attitude toward parents
